The Many Ways to Use Pattern Brushes in Procreate

It’s no secret that I love making pattern brushes in Procreate. I have an entire class dedicated to it! I also love giving away free pattern brushes to my newsletter subscribers but I realized that some people might not quite know what to do with them! I love using these brushes on clipping masks on top of things such as clothing. When you do it on a clipping mask, you can easily change the size and color, you can warp it to smoosh it around as needed, you can change the blend mode, and you can erase some of it to make it fade out a bit here and there!

Here you can see a wide variety of places I’ve used pattern brushes!
By selecting the pattern layer and warping it, you can completely change it in order to fit over an object. Another option is to use Liquify to move it around!

Be sure to check out my pattern brush class if you want to learn how to make your own pattern brushes! It’s one of five brush-making classes I have! Find more information here about getting access to all of my classes (dozens of them!) for a low monthly price! https://classes.leilaandpo.studio/ And be sure to sign up for my newsletter to access the growing list of free Procreate resources!
